Last Updated: November 2, 2025 Version: 1.0 Applies to: Zynexis

01 Acceptance of Terms

By inviting, using, or interacting with Zynexis, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately remove the Bot from your server and discontinue all use.

These Terms apply to all users, server administrators, and anyone who interacts with the Bot in any capacity.

02 Description of Service

Zynexis is a multipurpose Discord bot currently in active development that provides features including but not limited to:

  • Moderation Tools: AutoMod rules, warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, ban appeals, message purging, channel locking.
  • Information Commands: User, server, channel, role, emoji, sticker, avatar, and banner info.
  • Utility Features: AFK status, prefix management, custom embeds, note-taking, ping tracking, message snipping.
  • Server Management: Join roles, welcome/goodbye messages, server logging, permissions management.
  • User Interaction: Global user lookup, clan tags, pronouns display, badge verification.
Development Notice. As the Bot is still under active development, features may be added, modified, removed, or temporarily unavailable without prior notice. Some features may contain bugs or behave unexpectedly.

03 Eligibility and User Requirements

3.1 Age Requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Discord and this Bot.

3.2 Server Requirements

  • You must have appropriate permissions (typically "Manage Server" or specific moderation permissions) to configure Bot features.
  • Your Discord server must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

04 Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

  • Legitimate server moderation and management.
  • Enhancing community engagement.
  • Automating routine administrative tasks.
  • Providing information to server members.

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Bot to:

Content Violations

  • Distribute, store, or process illegal content.
  • Share content that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code.
Zero tolerance. Sharing sexually explicit content involving minors is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities.

Abuse and Harassment

  • Harass, threaten, doxx, or abuse other users.
  • Facilitate hate speech, discrimination, or violence.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
  • Spam or flood commands to disrupt service.

System Abuse

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the Bot's source code.
  • Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for malicious purposes (responsible disclosure is appreciated).
  • Use the Bot to circumvent Discord rate limits or restrictions.
  • Create artificial traffic or command spam.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Bot's systems or data.

Moderation Abuse

  • Use moderation features to unfairly target specific users based on protected characteristics.
  • Abuse ban appeal systems or automated punishment features.
  • Configure AutoMod rules designed to cause harm or disruption.

05 Data Collection and Privacy

The Bot collects server-level data (server/channel/role IDs, prefixes, AutoMod rules, join roles, welcome settings, saved embeds, moderation logs, ban appeals), user-level data (user IDs, usernames, moderation history, notes, AFK status, ping logs, temporarily cached message content, forced nicknames), and message data (a limited snipe cache, edit logs, and message metadata).

Data is stored in JSON files on secure servers, retained indefinitely unless deletion is requested or the Bot is removed, and is never sold or used for advertising or marketing. We may share data when required by law, to investigate violations, with law enforcement for serious issues such as child safety, or anonymously in aggregate for development.

For the complete breakdown of what we collect and your rights over that data, see the full Privacy Policy.

06 Commands and Features

6.1 Command Access

  • Commands require appropriate Discord permissions.
  • Some commands are restricted to specific servers or roles.
  • The Bot uses both prefix commands (e.g., $command) and slash commands (e.g., /command). Default prefix is $ but can be customized per server.

6.2 Feature Availability

  • Features may vary by server configuration and require specific channel setups.
  • Features may be temporarily unavailable during development or maintenance.
  • We reserve the right to limit or remove features at any time.

6.3 Rate Limits

  • Commands may be rate-limited to prevent abuse.
  • Excessive usage may result in temporary restrictions or automated cooldowns.

07 Moderation and Enforcement

7.1 AutoMod System

The AutoMod system uses automated detection for policy violations. Actions are logged but may not always be perfect — you are responsible for configuring AutoMod rules appropriately, and false positives may be appealed.

7.2 Ban Appeal System

Users may appeal bans through the Bot's appeal system. Appeals are reviewed by server moderators, not the Bot developers — the Bot only facilitates the process.

7.3 Developer Intervention

We reserve the right to terminate Bot access for Terms violations, report serious violations to Discord Trust & Safety, report illegal activity to law enforcement, and investigate abuse of Bot features.

08 Intellectual Property

  • The Bot, its code, design, features, and the "Zynexis" name are owned by the developer.
  • You retain ownership of content you create using the Bot (e.g., custom embeds, notes), and grant us a license to store and process it as necessary for service operation.
  • You may not copy, modify, create derivative works of, rebrand, resell, or claim ownership of the Bot.

09 Disclaimers and Limitations

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee of uptime, and may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or technical issues as it remains in active development.

We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from Bot use, including data loss, service interruption, or moderation errors — your sole remedy is to stop using the Bot.

Moderation features are tools only: server administrators are responsible for the moderation decisions they make with them, and automated systems may produce false positives or negatives.

10 Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via the Bot's support server or update channels; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

As the Bot is in development, features and policies may change frequently, and some changes may be implemented without prior notice for security or legal reasons.

11 Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate use at any time by removing the Bot from your server, requesting account data deletion, or ceasing all interaction with the Bot.

11.2 Termination by the Developer

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for serious violations, after warning for repeated violations, without notice if required by law, or at our discretion for extended inactivity or abandoned servers.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Your access ceases immediately. Stored data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy, and you remain liable for any violations that occurred before termination.

12 Third-Party Services

The Bot operates on Discord's platform and is subject to Discord's Terms of Service; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc., and Discord may terminate the Bot's access at any time.

The Bot may integrate with third-party APIs (e.g. pronouns.cc, Discord Lookup). We are not responsible for third-party availability or policies — each has its own terms of service.

13 Dispute Resolution

Contact the developer through the support server or DMs for informal resolution; we will attempt good-faith resolution of issues. These Terms are governed by applicable international laws and the laws of the developer's jurisdiction, with disputes resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction. Where legally applicable, arbitration and class-action waivers may apply.

14 Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the Bot.
  • No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without notice.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures beyond our reasonable control.

15 Contact Information

For support, questions, or data requests:
